Lowland Castle in Hronsek
The lowland castle in Hronsek was built in the 14th century and was rebuilt to its current form at the end of the 16th century. It belonged to the Géczy noble family. One of the important owners of the castle was the father of Levoča white lady Juliana Korponay-Géczy, who was executed for treason in Gyori. The greatest gems of the castle are interior wall paintings and the chimney from the second half of the 14th century. The lowland castle in Hronsek underwent a long and detailed reconstruction. Currently, it serves as a historical building with the possibility of renting out event spaces and it also offers accommodation in historical apartments.
The castle is also open to the public during guided tours.
