Manor house in Dolná Mičiná
Not far from Banská Bystrica, in the village of Dolná Mičiná, there is a Renaissance mansion on a hill - a cultural and historical monument of Slovakia.
It was built in the second half of the 16th century and over the years it has undergone several reconstruction and modernizations. However today, once a beautiful mansion stands abandoned.
The two-story building has romantic grandeur and is characterized by its four round towers. On the first floor, there was once a late renaissance fireplace from 1667, on which the names of the owners were carved.
Currently, the manor house in Dolná Mičiná is in the hands of a private owner and it is not open to the public. However, its surroundings are perfect for picnics, walks or visit the local natural wealth - – Mičiná travertines
